Shipping Policy

 

Where We Ship

We ship within the United States only. We do not ship internationally.

We are currently unable to ship to the following states due to local alcohol shipping restrictions:

  • Utah (UT)

  • Massachusetts (MA)

  • Tennessee (TN)

  • Alaska (AK)

  • Hawaii (HI)

We cannot ship to P.O. boxes, APO addresses, or FPO addresses. A valid residential or commercial street address is required.

Non-California residents are responsible for verifying that alcohol shipments are permitted in their state and county before placing an order.

Order Processing

Orders are processed Monday through Friday. Orders placed before 4:00 PM PST on a business day are typically processed within 1–3 business days.

Orders placed after 4:00 PM PST, on weekends, or on holidays will begin processing on the next business day.

Please note: Processing time is separate from transit time. Your estimated delivery window begins once your order has shipped and a tracking number has been issued.

During peak seasons (major holidays, limited release drops), processing may take slightly longer. We'll communicate any delays via email.

Shipping Methods

All orders ship via UPS from our warehouse in Southern California. Available shipping options at checkout:

UPS 2nd Day Air 2 business days after shipment
UPS Next Day Air 1 business day after shipment

Transit times begin from the date of shipment — not the date of order. Shipping charges are calculated at checkout based on weight, destination, and the selected service.

UPS does not deliver on Saturdays or Sundays for alcohol shipments requiring adult signature.

Delivery Requirements

All deliveries require a valid ID and signature from an adult 21 or older. UPS will not release the package without this — deliveries will never be left at a door, with a neighbor, or in a mailbox.

We strongly recommend shipping to a business address. Business addresses have higher daytime occupancy rates and significantly reduce the chance of missed deliveries, which can result in packages being returned to our warehouse.

If UPS is unable to make a successful delivery, they will make additional attempts per their standard policy before returning the shipment to us.

Address Changes

If you need to change your shipping address after an order is placed, contact us as soon as possible at info@thebottlesquare.com. We'll make every effort to accommodate the change before your order ships, but we cannot guarantee it once the order has entered the fulfillment queue.

All UPS address correction fees will be passed to the customer.

Out-of-Stock Items

In the rare event that an item in your order is out of stock after your order is placed, we will issue a full refund for that item and ship the remainder of your order. You'll be notified by email as soon as we know.

Weather Holds

Extreme heat or cold can affect spirits during ground transit. The Bottle Square is not responsible for weather-related damage to shipments in transit.

If you'd like us to hold your order due to weather conditions in your area, please contact us before your order ships at [your email] and we'll be glad to schedule it accordingly.

Packaging

Every order is packed with care. Bottles ship in sturdy outer cartons with foam cushioning designed for alcohol shipments. Bottles with non-standard shapes or manufacturer packaging may be packed differently, but always with the same attention to protection.

Minor cosmetic wear (small label scuffs, light box wear) can occur during transit and is not covered under our damage policy.

State Law Compliance

By placing an order, you confirm that:

  • You are at least 21 years of age

  • You are legally permitted to receive alcohol shipments in your state and county

  • All items are purchased for personal consumption only

  • The person receiving delivery is also 21 or older

  • You are complying with all applicable federal, state, and local laws

You agree to indemnify and hold The Bottle Square harmless from any claims, penalties, or costs arising from the shipment of alcohol to your location.
